There are two methods of registering for a Yuku account which will allow you to post on this board and any other Yuku messageboard in the network.
1/. If you choose to register here on the T189 Digital Photography Unofficial Forum board, you will have a greater choice of names since your name will be 'local' to this board. It will take the form of
chosenname.T189digitalphotography
Although your name on this board will be shown as chosenname, if you post on any other Yuku board, your name will show as chosenname.T189digitalphotography.
2/. If you go to the Yuku homepage at Yuku.com you can register for what is known as a 'global' account where you can keep your chosen name across all Yuku boards. Your name will not show the .T189photography ending.
The disadvantage of registering directly on the Yuku homepage is that there are already hundreds of thousands of Yuku and Ezboard users already registered. You may, therefore, find that your chosen name (and variants of it) will already be in use and you will be unable to register with it.
So, to summarise, if you are only going to use the T189 Digital Photography Unofficial Forum board, you can go ahead and register a 'local' username here on the board (with a greater choice of names). If you plan to explore the Yuku message board network more widely, you should go to the Yuku homepage and register a 'global' username (with the likelihood of a reduced choice of names).
Please note also that some members have had problems registering with Internet Explorer but have found Firefox to work (this seems to have something to do with the sequence of letters you have to enter as part of registration to ensure you are human!).
